NEW Protector features…
Driver ID
Pair multiple remotes with one unit and identify which drivers have driven a vehicle. You have the ability to pair up to ten remotes per vehicle (one unit per vehicle) and therefore can view historical and live tracking for up to ten different drivers of one vehicle.
Set up your Driver ID feature as follows:
- Sign in to the website
- Go to MY PROFILE >> UPDATE MY VEHICLE’S PROFILE and click on ADVANCED SETTINGS to enable Driver ID
- Go to MY PROFILE in the top navigation bar and select CONFIGURE DRIVERS
- This page will display your list of remotes paired with the unit
- Click on ASSIGN DRIVER on the right to associate a driver with a remote control
- Complete the pop up form with a driver name
To pair an additional remote control unit to the 4310i unit, you can either send an SMS message from any cell phone to the unit or you can do this from the website. To do this go to MY PROFILE in the top navigation bar and select UPDATE MY VEHICLE’S PROFILE, then click on OTHER ACTIONS. Scroll down to the section on pairing new remotes and click on pair now. Follow the voice prompts – this will provide additional instructions and explain to click the OK button to use for Driver ID.
To do this via mobile phone enter the 4310i's phone number and submit in the following format:
<XD 4310i access password> 14
Caution: When the SMS message is received by your 4310i unit, it will enter remote pairing mode so that you can pair a new remote control unit with it. Ensure that you go to the unit and pair the new Remote Control with it immediately. An SMS and e-mail message will be sent to the 4310i owner informing him/her that a new remote control unit has been paired. Note: the reply is sent to the 4310i owner and not to the cell phone from which the original SMS was sent.
FM Protector and others…
What is a “contacts list”?

If you no longer want them to have the ability to query your vehicle, simply change your access code on this website. Go to “Update My Vehicle’s Profile” and then click on “Other Settings”.

Other FAQ...
How do I upgrade my FM Protector product?
The unit itself does not need to be upgraded, nor will you need to purchase another unit to receive additional advanced features. FM Protector will notify you about service and feature upgrades and explain how to upgrade your unit. As FM Protector is an evolving product, expect more exciting features to be available soon!
Why do my notifications of events sometimes appear to come through incorrectly, if not at all.
If your vehicle is out of GSM coverage, any settings or updates, you've set up on the website and sent through to your vehicle, may not be delivered. A good check of this is to see whether the notification (sms and email) of the new settings that have been sent to your vehicle, have been delivered to your email inbox or to your mobile phone. If this has not happened, and you did not recieve the confirmation of new settings transferred to your unit / vehicle, the chances are that the vehicle was out of GSM coverage and therefore the sms with the new settings was not delivered successfully.
To resend the settings again, in your vehicle profile, please go to "Other Actions" and then click on the button that will send settings to your vehicle again.
